About: Sean McCabe has been part of the Long Beach/Seal Beach crew since he started surfing at age 12 in 1972, working his way up the ladder from a River grom to S.Side fixture, and also getting the hall pass from the Surfside Crew, which was not an easy thing to do back in those days! He started painting his own boards back in the day from longtime Long Beach shaper Herbie Spitzer. later, he got into the shape room with the help of matt bettis, robert august, mike minchington and some beers, #1 was created! Over 12,000 boards later, still at it!

Even at the ripe old age of 59, he is still on a shortboard and can still throw some pretty decent turns! Still a grom!
